Why your donation makes a difference

15.21 percent of Oregonians still fall under the Federal Poverty Level. 2 out of 10 of your neighbors are struggling to make ends meet. Food insecurity can be found even in those who do not fall within the Federal Poverty Guidelines due to a steep increase in the cost of living. South Coast Food Share is here to help.

Did you know the South Coast Food Share can leverage a dollar donated to turn it into approximately 3 meals?

This is why every dollar you contribute is so crucial and valued!

Last year, with the collective effort of donors like you, we were able to donate over 1.38 million meals to 42,810 hungry families in our community. Your contribution is what makes this possible!

We want to remove barriers to access to food through information sharing. If you or someone you know has had to ask, “I have nothing to eat or nothing to feed my family, what do I do? I’ve never had to do this before?”

Know that you are not alone and that there is a food pantry in each community in Coos and Curry counties. Can you not get to a pantry yourself? You can send an authorized representative to your place. Call and ask us how or to get more information on services near you.
