Volunteers work to help abused and neglected children in Coos County
Every day abused and neglected children are removed from their homes and placed into substitute care because their parents cannot or will not protect them. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers work to help find these children safe permanent homes where they can thrive.
Each volunteer is specially trained to be a powerful voice for what is in a child's best interest. They are ordinary people who do extraordinary things for some of our county’s most vulnerable children.
There are abused and neglected children here in Coos County waiting for a CASA volunteer. If you or someone you know can volunteer to speak up for a child, please contact us: (541) 824-0215.
“CASA is the most successful program that has come to assist children. The dedication of the people doing it is beyond anything I have ever seen. It takes people who are volunteer professionals that work in very emotional situations. They must remain objective in order to assist the Court caught between the agency and the children."
---The Honorable Richard Barron, Coos County Circuit Court Judge
