Come join Oregon Coast Community Action’s Great Afternoons program for a night of family fun! The Holiday Make ‘n Take is a great opportunity for the whole family to spend time together, make ornaments and gifts, and take them home to treasure. Make ‘n Take runs from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, and takes place at Highland Elementary School. A number of local businesses are providing craft booths for the kids, including cookie decorating, ornament making, and a photo booth. Families are invited and encouraged to take home anything they make.

Reedsport School District will be providing dinner and there is no charge for admission to the event. Organizers are asking for a donation of non-perishable food donations for local food banks in the area. Additionally, an adult or high school student must accompany all participants.

“This event is a wonderful opportunity for families to participate together,” says Great Afternoons Director, Chris Marsh. “It is a great no-pressure, and no-cost event taking place during a season that for so many of our neighbors is a time usually filled with stress.”

Oregon Coast Community Action is a non-profit network of programs that help feed, house, warm and educate the communities of the South Coast. Great Afternoons offers daycare service in the Reedsport area and provides resources for parents to better support their families and improve their lives.
