KMTR - Free flu shots for uninsured people in Coos Bay

Coos Bay (KMTR) - People who are uninsured in the Coos Bay area can get a free flu shot at three clinics in the coming weeks.  Oregon Coast Community Action is teaming up with Walgreens to get as many residents vaccinated as they can.  Organizers say they see a lot of local residents who have jobs, but can't afford insurance and aren't able to pay for a flu shot.  They say it's important for all adults to get vaccinated, so they don't carry a virus and pass it to someone else.

All three clinics are happening at the Newmark Center, at 2110 Newmark Avenue in Coos Bay.  The first is Wednesday, November 16th from 12:30-3:30 p.m.  The next is November 29th from 11 a.m.–2 p.m., and the final clinic will be December 6th from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.  You don't need to bring anything, just fill out a form when you get there.
