Housing counseling, emergency rental assistance, deposits, and other housing programs. The Oregon, Department of Oregon Housing & Community Services funds many of these activities.
These are a few of our Housing Programs:
RAP (Rental Assistance Program)
- One time rental morgage assistance (up to one month’s payment)
- Must show ability to afford rent in the future.

HTBA (Home Tenant Based Assistance)
- Case managed rental subsidy
- Must be very low-income
- Qualify by preference points and fund availability.

- Must be homeless
- Must have children

COOLS (Coos Oregon Leasing + Services)
- Permanent housing program for homeless mentally ill individuals
- Must be referred from CCMH (Coos County Mental Health)
Deposit Only Assistance
- One time help with deposit
- Deposit can be no more than two times the rent
- Property must pass inspection
- Must be very low income
Transitional Housing HSP
- Assistance for families with children
- Applicants must be either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless
- Must be very low income
