River Bend Jerseys is a 200 acre organic dairy farm along the Millacoma River of Coos Bay. Pete and Kelly Mahaffy and their 120 jersey cows are part of the Organic Valley Cooperative, selling milk and dairy products at retail stores throughout the Northwest and nationwide. The Mahaffy's also raise animals for beef and sell organically raised, grass fed beef by the 1/4 and 1/2. They welcome groups or individuals to tour their farm and are happy to share their farm story. Please call before coming as this is a busy working farm and the owners need to plan for visitors.
Silver Dollar Bison Ranch
Silver Dollar Bison Ranch raises and processes bison on their 300-acre ranch near Reedsport, OR. The bison graze on native grasses alongside elk, horses, and other native animals on the ranch. Products sold at the Coos Bay Farmers Market or at their website.
